The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the third poll of the 2019-20 season, as the previous poll was announced on Sept. 20.
In Division I, Stanford University received 10 first-place votes to jump nine spots to No. 1, while the University of Texas remains No. 2 with five first-place votes. Arizona State University moved up five spots to No. 3, followed by Wake Forest University, who received three first-place votes, at No. 4. Rounding out the top-five is University of Southern California, who tallied one first-place vote and dropped one spot
In Division II, University of Indianapolis received nine first-place votes to claim the No. 1 spot, while Nova Southeastern University received four first-place votes to finish closely behind, moving up three spots to No. 2. Lynn University jumped four spots to No. 3, while the University of Findlay and Dallas Baptist University round out the top-five.
In Division III, Carnegie Melon University received 10 first-place votes, jumping seven spots to sit at No. 1. University of Redlands moved up six spots to No. 2 after receiving four first-place votes, while George Fox University moved up one spot to No. 3. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps improved two spots to No. 4, while Pomona-Pitzer entered the top-five after a five-spot jump.
