The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2019-20 season, as the Preseason rankings were announced on Aug. 30.
In Division I, Wake Forest University received 11 first-place votes to jump eight spots to No. 1, while the University of Texas moved up one spot to No. 2 with two first-place votes. Vanderbilt University jumped four spots to No. 3 after receiving two first-place votes, followed by the University of Southern California, who received three first-place votes, at No. 4. Rounding out the top-five is Kent State University, who moved up six spots.
In Division II, Dallas Baptist University received six first-place votes to jump to the No. 1 spot, while the University of Indianapolis received three first-place votes to finish closely behind, moving up two spots to No. 2. California State University San Marcos remains at No. 3 with two first-place votes, followed by Barry University, who dropped to No. 4. after receiving one first-place vote. Nova Southeastern University moved up one spot to enter the top-five.
In Division III, New York University remains at No. 1 with six first-place votes, while Washington University in St. Louis also received six first-place votes to jump seven spots to No. 2. Williams College received one first-place vote to drop one spot to No. 3, while George Fox University and Rhodes College finished in a tie for the No. 4 spot.
