The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the third and penultimate poll of the spring season, as the previous poll was released on March 15.
The University of Southern California sits atop Division I for the third straight poll after receiving 16 first-place votes, while Duke University and the University of Texas received two first-place votes apiece to remain in the top-three, ranking No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Stanford holds steady at No. 4, while Wake Forest jumps eight spots to enter the top-five for the first time this year.
In Division II, Barry University claims the top spot after receiving eight first-place votes, while Dallas Baptist University drops to No. 2 with four first-place votes. Nova Southeastern University remains No. 3, while California State University San Marcos and Florida Institute of Technology continue to climb the rankings, entering the top-five for the first time this year to rank No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Carleton College received all but one first-place vote to remain at No. 1 in Division III, while George Fox University holds steady at No. 2 with the remaining first-place vote. DePauw University moves up a spot to No. 3, while New York University jumped three spots to come in at No. 4. Rhodes College once again rounds out the top-five.
