  • WGCA Announces Increase In Total WGCA All-Americans Across Divisions I, II and III

    The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced a permanent increase in the total number of WGCA All-Americans for Division I, Division II and Division III. This increase will go into effect for the current 2022-23 season.

     

    “The increase to the All-Americans named at the end of the championship season is a testament to the depth of women’s collegiate golf,” said WGCA President Lisa Strom. “Thank you to the efforts from all three divisions and our Board Members for working to recognize very deserving young women who are at the top of their divisions.”

     

    At the Division I level, the total number of WGCA All-Americans will increase from 40 student-athletes to 50 student-athletes. Both the First Team and Second Team will consist of 12-15 players each, with no more than 30 players total being named to the first two teams. The remaining players will be named to the Honorable Mention Team.

     

    For Division II, the total number of WGCA All-Americans will increase from 36 student-athletes to 42 student-athletes. Both the First Team and Second Team will consist of 12-14 players each, with no more than 28 players total being named to the first two teams. The remaining players will be named to the Honorable Mention Team.

     

    At Division III, the total number of WGCA All-Americans will increase from 21 student-athletes to 32 student-athletes. Both the First Team and Second Team will consist of 9-11 players each, with no more than 22 players total being named to the first two teams. The remaining players will be named to the Honorable Mention Team.
