The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the first poll of the 2020 spring season.
University of Texas opens the spring season at the No. 1 spot, receiving 15 first-place votes, while University of Southern California received three first-place votes to finish at No. 2. Arizona State University and Duke University come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Kent State University rounds out the top-five.
In Division II, Nova Southeastern University claims the No. 1 spot with six first-place votes, while University of Indianapolis trails by just two points to rank No. 2 with three first-place votes. Dallas Baptist University sits at No. 3, while Rollins College and University of Tampa rank No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Carnegie Melon University received all but two first-place votes to begin the spring at No. 1, while Washington University in St. Louis ranks No. 2 with one first-place vote. Methodist University comes in at No. 3, followed by New York University at No. 4 and Williams College at No. 5.
