The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the first poll of the 2023 spring season.
In Division I, Stanford University opens the season at the No. 1 spot with 14 first-place votes, while Wake Forest University trails closely behind at No. 2 with the remaining five votes. University of Oregon and University of South Carolina come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while San Jose State University rounds out the top-five.
In Division II, Dallas Baptist University claims the top spot with eight first-place votes, while Lynn University received the remaining seven votes to open the season at No. 2. Nova Southeastern University comes in at No. 3, with Henderson State University and West Texas A&M University ranking No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Emory University opens the season as the unanimous No. 1, receiving all 15 first-place votes, while University of Redlands takes the No. 2 spot. Washington University in St. Louis and George Fox University sit at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Washington and Lee University comes in at No. 5.
Oklahoma City University and Dalton State College open the season in a tie atop the NAIA rankings, while Southeastern University received one first-place vote to trail closely behind at No. 3.
The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll will be released on Friday, March 17.
