The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the first poll of the spring season.
The University of Southern California opens the spring season at the No. 1 spot, receiving 13 first-place votes, while the University of Texas received nine first-place votes to finish closely behind at No. 2. Duke University and Stanford University come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while UCLA received one first-place vote to round out the top-five.
In Division II, Dallas Baptist University claims the No. 1 spot with seven first-place votes, while University of Indianapolis trails by just three points to rank No. 2 with six first-place votes. Nova Southeastern University received one first-place vote to begin the spring season at No. 3, while Barry University and Arkansas Tech University rank No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Carleton College received all but two first-place votes to begin the spring at No. 1, while George Fox University ranks No. 2 with the remaining first-place votes. DePauw University comes in at No. 3, followed by Grinnell College at No. 4 and Rhodes College at No. 5.
