  • Emilie Meason Named Golf Pride Grips WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year

Emilie Meason, Assistant Women’s Golf Coach at Vanderbilt University, has been named the 2018-19 Golf Pride Grips WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year.

Meason joined the Vanderbilt program as an assistant coach in July of 2017 and immediately helped the Commodores return to postseason play, as the team advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tallahassee Regional. During the 2018-19 season, the Commodores produced a school-record six tournament wins, including the NCAA Auburn Regional, and advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2014. Vanderbilt was ranked in the top-10 of the WGCA Coaches Poll all season, and freshman Auston Kim became the Commodores’ first All-American since 2014 as she earned a place on the Honorable Mention team.
