Former Duke University women’s golf standout Amanda Blumenherst will serve as the emcee at the WGCA Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony, set for Sunday evening, Dec. 2, at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nev.
Blumenherst ended her career at Duke as one of the most decorated student-athletes in school history. She tops the program record books with 78 rounds of even or under par, 37 top-10 finishes, 41 top-20 finishes and is tied for first with 12 victories. A four-time All-American, including three First-Team selections, she led Duke to three ACC Championships and two NCAA titles.
Blumenherst remains both the only three-time Division I PING WGCA Player of the Year (2006, 2007. 2008) and the only three-time Golfstat Cup winner (2006, 2007, 2008). She was also a two-time recipient of the Dinah Shore Trophy Award (2008, 2009), which recognizes female golfers who excel in both academics and athletics, as well as demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and community service. Blumenherst was inducted into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame in 2014.
After winning the 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, Blumenherst went on to have a successful professional playing career and is now an analyst on the Golf Channel.
