Julie Garner, Head Women’s Golf Coach at Rollins College, will be inducted into the WGCA Hall of Fame on Sunday evening, December 2, 2018. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. Garner becomes the 51st member of the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame.
In her 23 seasons as head coach, Garner has led Rollins women’s golf team to a record six NCAA Division II National Championships, along with five runner-up finishes. The Tars have finished in the top-four at the NCAA Division II Championships in 13 of her last 17 seasons. She is a four-time Division II Golf Pride WGCA Coach of the Year (2003, 2006, 2015, 2016) and five-time Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2015).
Garner’s student-athletes have garnered six PING WGCA Player of the Year Awards (Charlotte Campbell in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and Annie Dulman in 2014, 2015) and three Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Year honors (Jennifer Beames in 2003 and Charlotte Campbell in 2004, 2006).
In 2018, Rollins placed second at the NCAA Super Regional to earn its record 16th bid to the NCAA Championships, where the Tars went on to finish in eighth place.
